Cruz Bay: Estate Lindholm: “Why go anywhere else?”Estate Lindholm: Fabulous Cruz Bay and St Thomas views combined with moderately priced, Caribbean-style comfortable accommodations surrounded by lush flowers, palm trees and tropical plants. Very clean and well run by Lauren and Brion. Need anything? Like beach chairs, coolers, towels, floats or directions? It is all provided at this wonderful B&B. Close proximity to Cruz Bay by taxi (3 minutes) where great restaurants and shops abound or head east on Rt. 20 in your rented jeep to see the island's white beaches, trails, villages and rugged national park beauty. Stay at least 3-4 nights; you'll never regret it.
“We'll be back...” My husband and I just got back from a quick trip (way too quick) to St. John and were so glad to have the chance to stay at Estate Lindholm. We really liked the laid back attitude and friendly people. Lauren and Brion are great - and so were all the other people there - interesting and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous - flowers everywhere! The location was perfect for us, because we like to be able to get into Cruz Bay easily, but don't want to be in the middle of the crowds and noise. Also, we love Trunk Bay and it was so easy to get to. We did rent a car just for the convenience, and spent our mornings at the beach. By lunch time it was HOT, so we stopped back at the hotel and hung out by the pool for a while. Then when it got cooler, into town for shopping or dinner. Having the towels, coolers, and beach chairs available was really helpful. We stayed in the Rendezvous room, which had the most incredible view. I saw another review that said there wasn't any clothes storage, but there was a big armoire with hanging space and lots of shelves, so that wasn't a problem. Breakfast was continental, which was fine with us. There was plenty to choose from, just nothing fancy. Strong coffee, OJ, bagels, english muffins, toaster waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, etc. We took a sunset sail on Cloud 9 and checked out the local cays, which was really fun. We also took the walk down to Honeymoon beach, which was really pretty. Dinners at Ocean Grill, Paradiso, Zozo's, and a beer at the Tap Room were also favorite stops. And one night when we didn't feel like driving anywhere, we just walked past the pool to Asolaire and had a couple of appetizers and a dessert at the bar (that way we didn't need reservations). Overall it was a great trip and we're definitely going back - and we'll undoubtedly stay at Estate Lindholm again. We love Hawaii, but for us on the East Coast, this trip is so much easier and the island and beaches are just as lush and beautiful.
“love it..repeatedly” we've been 5 times now, and if the market goes up it'll be 6 this winter...just love the place ( both EL and st john)....cant imagine any better place to say on the island (unless it might be kenny chesney's estate...but we dont know him)
