Gallows Point Resort: “Perfection”
We recently stayed at Gallows Point after researching many options. My boyfriend and I have traveled extensively and we were impressed with this resort, from the staff to the amazing view from our room. Our condo was ocean side, lower level and it came with a fully equipped kitchen. The pool and grounds were beautifully landscaped. And Cruz Bay is a short 5 minute walk from the resort. Will be staying here on our next trip.
Gallows Point Resort “Island Paradise!”With all the wonderful sights and sounds of the Islands, we were tempted to just stay "home" in our cozy suite at Gallows Point! Just sitting on the lanai outside our pretty living room, we watched the ships pass in the bay and the critters playing (iguanas, hummingbirds, and the friendly resort cat that wandered over every morning) on the lusciously landscaped grounds. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our every need was met - including a 5-star meal at the resident restaurant, Zozo's. Can't wait to go back!
“Fantastic and Tranquil at Gallows Point Resort”After visiting St. John a couple of times while on a cruise, we've always said we wanted to rent a place and stay several days on this wonderful island. We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with 4 days at Gallows Point Resort. I did much research on the various places to stay on St. John, We made our reservations and waited for our vacation days to arrive. We were PERFECTLY treated by the staff at Gallows Point and the grounds and views are gorgeous. We stayed in a lower unit in Building 3 and strongly feel that this building has the best location. It's on the point and you cannot even see the other buildings from the patio...only the blue ocean. The unit was very well kept and we felt pampered by the staff. We cannot wait to go back and stay longer the next time!
“Breathtaking, convenient, idyllic”I traveled here solo with my two kids ages 9 and 7. I have friends who have gone with their kids and although the hotel doesn't encourage children, you can bring them as long as they are over 5. I think it's a perfect location if you are traveling solo. We could walk to town, took taxis to different beaches every day, fell into a perfect routine of breakfast in the room, trip to a beach, pool by 3 and into town for dinner. I wouldn't bring rowdy kids or expect to find lots of other kids. There certainly were families, but most kids were 8/9 and up, I would guess. Service was great, everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. Having the store on the premises was very convenient. Our only issue, if you can call it that, was that our unit (5) was right next to the restaurant Zozo which got noisy on two nights for a wedding party and a birthday. It closes by 10:30 so it's not an all night affair, but I would have preferred to just hear the waves! Best meal- the take out bbq place- yum!
