Hawksnest Beach is the one of the easiest beaches to get to from Cruz Bay, this is one reason it is so popular with the local residents and visitors that have small children.
The beach is just a short drive from Cruz Bay. The parking lot is very close to the beach, making it easier to carry beach supplies.
Hawksnest beach has covered pavilions with picnic tables, and Barbeque pits.
The locals really enjoy this beach and have birthday parties and other celebrations there.
There are also restrooms available but they are not the flush type toilets.

Hawksnest beach is great for snorkeling, the coral reef is only a few feet from the shore.
The coral is amazing, and some of the beautiful fish you may see include, schools of small fish like grunt, fry and goatfish. Parrotfish are among some of the most popular and colorful fish, that everyone enjoys watching.

If you would like just a little more privacy you can venture off to Little Hawksnest Beach. It is just west, about a two minute hike over rocky terrain.
It is a beautiful small beach with powdery white sand and plenty of room for the family to enjoy.
