Trunk Bay: “The most beautiful beach I have ever seen.” Trunk Bay is great from the moment you pull into the parking lot. It does cost a few dollars to get in but it's well worth it. There are bathroom/shower facilities, rentals, food, you name it. I would suggest getting there early in the morning so that you can really find peace when you first walk out onto the beach and it is quiet and not the least bit crowded to fully respect what this beach can offer you. This is the most beautiful water. Great for people with small children. My 11 year old son was waist deep and could still see his feet. I have read that it can get crowded during heavy cruise ship days but we went on a day where only 1 cruise ship was docked so it wasn't crowded at all. I could spend every single day at this beach. I would highly recommend it.
“Best beach I have ever been to !” Just the best. We took a day trip over from St. Thomas and spent the entire day at Trunk Bay. Great snorkeling. You can rent everything there for snorkeling. You can buy lunch there, not 4 star, but good enough. Just beautiful. It was the high light of my trip. I wish we stayed there for the week, didn't want to go back to St. Thomas after seeing St. John.
“Really Beautiful Beach” This beach was so beautiful. There is a snorkeling trail that is pretty cool. Great for beginners, with underwater plaques explaining things. National Park charges to get in, but is worth it!
