Waterlemon Cay is a small cay within Leinster Bay.
A short 10 minute hike in from the Annaberg Ruins parking lot.
It's a relatively easy hike following a flat, but rocky, trail along the edge of the bay.
Leinster Bay is a top notch snorkeling spot.
Here you'll find Hawksbill turtles, stingrays and an array of marine life, including baby baracuda who are often seen inches off the beach.
From the beach, you can see Waterlemon Cay.
It's a relatively good swim out there, so watch for currents.
Once you reach the Cay, you can snorkel, and enjoy all the amazing marine life around the cay, resting on the small sandy beach before swimming back to Leinster Bay beach.
It is better to swim counter-clockwise around the cay so that you swim with the current.
Francis Bay Beach and Watermelon Cay Beach are just a few more of the beaches you'll encounter when traveling eastward along St. John's gently curving coastline. The beach at Leinster Bay is another haven for those seeking the solace of a private sunny retreat. You can swim in the bay's shallow water or snorkel over the spectacular and colorful coral reef, perhaps in the company of an occasional turtle or stingray.
